Somos was the first hostel that we stayed at in Guatemala and it set the bar high! It felt very safe, was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere (which we were looking for after a long journey!). We stayed there for a few nights and also booked the CA Adventures Acatenango hike through them. Somos also let us keep our bags in their locker room whilst hiking. All the staff were very friendly and helpful (special thanks to Yonatan for all the advice and information!).
Perfect location to get to all the museums and attractions by walking. Bar service was great enjoyed every night here with great service from both Rose, Ron, and Hettie. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. A big vibe for sure.
We loved our stay here! The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was spotless and the staff were super friendly and helpful! The common spaces are great for chilling and there’s a good buzz in the evenings at the bar area. Quiet hours start from 10pm-7am which is great if you’re doing the hike and want an early night. The location is perfect, cafes and bars in your doorstep and it’s in walking distance of everywhere you would want to go! Can’t fault it at all, thank you!
Big thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Somos Hostel! Without doubt the BEST hostel I’ve stayed at. Really nice chilled vibe but still really social for a solo traveller. Front desk are incredibly helpful, volunteers are very welcoming and personable, and cleaners do an amazing job as the whole hostel is spotless! If you are in Antigua it is the ONLY place to go ✌🏻
Somos is absolutely fantastic place. The staff is taking so good care of guests. They are serving, comforting, giving information, making sure that everything works and be so flexible. The place is very beautiful, clean and well equipped. I would love to come back to Somos one day!
Super hostel ! Propre,bien placé, avec tout le confort (cuisine,jaccuzi, salon avec Netflix, lit avec prise et lumiere). Un accueil chaleureux et surtout Mely qui te conseille sur tout ce qu'il y a faire autour. Je recommande cet hostel!

-Amazing day time views on turf Rooftop terrace to see volcán agua and fuego erupt during the night! -incredible staff! Ana and Mely truly are the best in hospitality! -heart of Antigua-withing 2 minute walk to some of the bestfoods including Como Como, Ripcon Típico, Santa Clara Café, No sé café, sky café, Angie Angies and Kombu! -Perfecto relaxing common area -Windows 7 computer to print and work on projects if you don’t have a computer -high security with cameras -full kitchen!
Loved our stay! The staff and everyone who stays there is super friendly and the actual hostel itself is so chill. The facilities are also top notch! We'll definitely be back.
Private room was stunning with very nice bathroom and shower! Staff was very helpful and nice and the view from the rooftop patio was definitely a highlight!
